Meet Nilla Wafer — standing 13.1 hands tall, but don’t tell him that! Nilla is convinced he’s a full-sized ranch horse. Don’t let his size fool you; Nilla has done all the big horse things! He’s been rode by both adults and kids ages 6-69 and has always had and enjoys a job. Whether it’s gathering cattle, checking fence lines with dad, dragging calves to the fire, or going on a trail ride.
My 6-year-old daughter Zia, has hauled him to town and exposed him to real-world situations and everyday ranch life. Tarps, flags, traffic, crowds, and obstacles do not faze him, and he crosses everything with ease. Nilla has gone up and down some steep arroyos and has traveled some Rocky country.
One of Zia’s favorite things to do on Nilla Wafer is track her slow jerseys, and he stays calm, collected, and smooth every step of the way.
Nilla Wafer is gentle, his nature is quiet, laid back and has the kindest eye and is SOUND!
