Max ist ein 9-jähriger belgischer Kaltblutwallach (ca. 1,70 m groß, rund 850 kg schwer) – ein echter Hingucker mit imposanter Erscheinung und einem Herz aus Gold. Er ist grundausgebildet, kennt die Arbeit am Boden sehr gut und macht Gelassenheitstraining mit Bravour. Auch das Fahren vom Boden ist für ihn kein Problem – deshalb können wir uns Max sehr gut als Freizeitfahrpferd oder sogar als Holzrückepferd vorstellen. Max ist vom Typ her sensibel und braucht eine sichere, ruhige Bezugsperson, die ihm Vertrauen und Orientierung gibt. Auch wenn er kräftig wirkt, ist er eher ein vorsichtiger Charakter, der in unsicheren Momenten einfach den Rückzug sucht. Böse Absichten hat er dabei nie – er braucht einfach jemanden, der ihm Sicherheit schenkt und ihn gelassen führt. Er ist angeritten, wird aber aktuell nicht regelmäßig geritten. Ein Probereiten ist daher nur bedingt möglich. In der Herde zeigt sich Max sozial, verspielt und freundlich – er liebt es, mit seinen Kumpels zu toben, und wünscht sich auch im neuen Zuhause einen passenden Pferdefreund. Bisher stand er mit Wallachen zusammen, über Stuten können wir daher keine Aussage treffen. Gesundheitlich ist Max PSSM1-positiv und hat eine Warzenmauke (typisch Kaltblut, aber aktuell nicht stark ausgeprägt. ) Mit entsprechender Haltung und Fütterung lässt sich beides gut managen.
