Meghan is a striking, jet-black, registered Percheron mare standing an impressive 18.2 hands. She combines the size and substance the breed is known for with a kind, willing temperament that is increasingly difficult to find.
Rather than being rushed through training, Meghan has been thoughtfully and intentionally developed by multiple accomplished horsemen. She spent time with a professional trainers as a four-year-old. She completed 30 days with an Amish horseman to establish a solid working foundation, next we invested eight months training under renowned dressage trainer Heather Roller Wilson, and then completed an additional four months with a Western trainer to further develop and solidify her trail and all-around riding skills. The result is a well-rounded mare with a broad education and an exceptional foundation.
Meghan rides both English and Western, is comfortable working in the arena, and is confident on the trails. She has been exposed to everyday farm life, including livestock, machinery, dogs, children, and the activity of a busy training facility, taking new experiences with a quiet, willing attitude.
Her temperament is one of her greatest assets. Meghan genuinely enjoys people and forms strong partnerships with her rider. She is patient, kind, and dependable, making her equally enjoyable for a relaxing trail ride or continued development in the discipline of your choice. She has also demonstrated an excellent mind, returning to work willingly even after time off.
