Hico is a reliable companion in all trail situations. His background as a racehorse is evident in his determined approach to work, always striving to complete tasks with purpose, yet without nervousness or haste. He is easily controlled and stops well in each gait. He can be ridden at the front, in a group, or behind other horses. He rides off without issues alone and remains calm when left alone in the stable.  

In a group setting, he is compatible with all horses and tends to be somewhat subordinate. He is healthy, with no tendon problems, allergies, or other issues. He is easy to handle for farrier work, loading onto horse trailers, and is familiar with lunging.  

Hico would be very suitable for a young, light rider. He is perfect for trail riding, shorter distance rides, groundwork, and simply as a good friend to love and enjoy.
