Sporty Haflinger mare Stella, 8 years old and 14.1 hh, is looking for a suitable new home with a heavy heart.
She is ridden and has been driven both as a pair and four-in-hand. In driving sport, she has competed in carriage-driving competitions and achieved placings at Novice level. In daily handling, she is kind, loyal and people-oriented. She stands well for the farrier, loads well, is not spooky and enjoys working with her handler. For Stella, we are looking for an experienced horse person who will enjoy continuing her education and providing her with the security she needs. She is not a beginner’s horse.
Competition sport: Stella is currently not being entered in competitions, as she becomes very tense in test situations and consequently is currently unable to produce a proper walk. In normal training, she is noticeably more relaxed and works well. With further training and an experienced rider/driver, it is certainly conceivable that competitions could become possible again at a later stage.
We are therefore looking for a home where she can be worked and developed in a variety of ways without the pressure of competition. If you are looking for a sporty Haflinger mare with a good basic education and can offer her a suitable home, we would be delighted to hear from you.
