Felix is a 2020 14.0-hand sporty and flashy pony who is about as cool as they come. Extra athletic and full of try, Felix is the kind of pony that would be an absolute blast for a handy kiddo or smaller adult to take on and finish out in just about any direction. With his natural talent and presence, he would shine as a Pony Club mount, a small but mighty fox hunter, or a competitive mounted pony games partner.
Felix boasts a beautiful trot with plenty of extension and expression, and an exceptionally easy lope that he can step into smoothly from any gait in just one stride. He has a fantastic turnaround, stays soft through his face and sides, and is responsive without being too much—making him fun, athletic, and rewarding to ride. He’s quick-footed, balanced, and truly enjoys having a goal and a mission. He put his heart into everything he does and has an outstanding work ethic and willings to try.
Felix has been confidently started over jumps and logs and absolutely loves it! He approaches each obstacle with enthusiasm and a willingness to please. He’s equally talented and brave navigating trail challenges such as logs, water crossings, brush, bogs, and bridges, showing steady focus.
Felix has also been exposed to light ranch work and has experience around cattle. He has helped gather, sort, and move cattle, showing a willing, sensible attitude and staying thoughtful and brave in new situations.
On the ground, Felix is a pleasure to be around. He has a shy but, curious and kind personality, he’s sweet and loves snacks and pets! He has tons of mane and tail, is good with his feet, ties quietly, loads easily, and is easy to blanket, saddle, and bridle.
