* Smokey has a slow, relaxed walk, a ground-covering trot, an effortless walk-to-canter departure, and a comfortable, floating lope. Smokey makes an excellent ranch horse, as he is comfortable and confident around cattle and other livestock, machinery, dogs, opening and closing gates, and all the sights and sounds of everyday ranch life.
