We are not sure there are words to describe how special this gelding is, but we will give it a shot…”Boss” as we affectionately call him is by far the best horse we have offered in a very long time. He is one that will leave a mark on your heart forever. From his affectionate personality, beauty, talent, and quietness he is quite literally the perfect gelding. This is the kind of horse we try to find every single day. He is the kind that makes it unfair to every other horse in the barn to be compared to. He is in a league of his own.
Boss has $16,000 in NRHA earnings and can be shown by anyone! Open, Non-Pro, Novice, and Youth will and have had success with him. Our ten-year-old niece showed him for her very first time in a youth class at an NRHA show and not only did they put on a heck of a show, but they WON. One cannot train this kind of mind into a horse. Boss craves pleasuring his rider and will take care of anyone aboard.
This extraordinary gelding’s ability to hit the ground hard and smooth in his stops is incomparable. It’s like having an emergency brake that you don’t even have to pull on. His rundowns are smooth and controlled- never outrunning his rider and will stop every single time. Boss can spin slow and low-headed and then hit the gas button when asked. By far the EASIEST lead changer ever!!! Takes the absolute lightest cue to change leads- he is always ready! Seriously though Bri will ride this horse in tennis shoes and bridle-less and do a full reining pattern. Plain and simple he is EASY. Boss is a boss. His fast to slow transition is flawless, as he is always looking to slow down for you and his rollbacks are SO fun! Boss is the one to teach the newbies and lead you to the winner circle!
We love watching Boss move, even just when he is out playing. He has an elegant way of moving with a lot of grace in his strides. Bossman is a pleasure outside of the arena as he will graciously trail ride alone or in a group. This gelding is the most spook-proof horse we have ever had. Extremely large and loud machinery going by him is of no concern. When it comes to crazy dogs, silage tarps, and our obstacle course, he won’t even take a second look. He has a nice, easy going walk and will stop and hang out for as long as you want. Boss crosses valleys, creeks, logs, and anything else he comes into contact with. He loves going for a nice swim in the river or pond as well! This is the horse you put your town friends on. This is the horse you have the kids warm up for you. This is the horse that you leave off for a month and then load him up to go to a last minute show. This is the horse that is irreplaceable.
If you cannot tell by his photos, this guy is STUNNING. With his big white face, blue eye, four white socks, and perfect palomino color he is to die for. He stands at 14.2hh and is definitely a chunker. Boss is an easy keeper and very sound. His charismatic personality makes him a joy to be around. He loves to smile for a treat and loves to be in your pocket getting all of the love. Boss is easy to catch outside and gets along extremely well with other horses. We have had him outside and in a stall. Currently has a full set of shoes on and is great for the farrier. Boss is a good boy about being clipped and bathed- of course because it’s more attention for him.
This is the kind of horse we strive to have. This is the horse we get calls for every day. This is the kind of horse that is the epitome of UNICORN. A horse like Boss is not on every corner and we are very proud to be a part of his life and help him find his forever home. An amazing home with lots of treats is mandatory for this guy.
