A Frosty Lou Lou – A Beautiful Dun Roan Mare Who Does It All! Every so often, a mare comes along that has all the right pieces — good looks, the right kind of pedigree, a steady mind, and a willingness to go anywhere you point her. Looking for a mare that turns heads, does her job, and keeps it classy while she does it? Meet Frosty Lou Lou, a 2021 AQHA beautiful dun roan mare standing 15.1 hands and built the way you want one: big hip, plenty of bone, and all the shape to last. She’s as solid-minded as she is pretty — gentle enough for a novice, broke enough to make a pro grin, and just the right age to take in any direction. Lou Lou is the kind you can throw a saddle on, cinch up, and ride off without a second thought. She tacks up easy, ties all day, and stands like a lady whether you’re shoeing her, doctoring one outside, or just stopping to visit. On the trail she’s already got more miles than some horses twice her age. Traffic, wildlife, logs, water, bridges, flags, tarps, even pool noodles and bouncy balls — none of it gets a rise out of her. She’s steady whether she’s riding out solo or in a group, and she’s the type you point at an obstacle and she just says, “Sure, no problem.” She’s been used on the ranch, branded calves, and seen the long days, giving her patience and sense that can’t be faked. In the arena, Lou Lou is started in the heading and shows all the right pieces to make a rope horse: flat across the line, pulls strong to the horn, faces up, and still soft in the face with a natural collection. She stops, backs, and neck reins the way one should. The best part? She’s as safe and gentle as she is talented. A novice can swing a leg over and feel comfortable, while an experienced hand will appreciate her correctness and potential. She’s the mare that can babysit one rider today and go to work for another tomorrow. Her pedigree makes her no accident. By Frosted By Roan (Double Drift / Dry Fork Roan lines) and out of Peptolou (by Weavers Boonsmal Doc, son of Peptoboonsmal), Lou Lou is built on a foundation of durability, cow sense, and brains. She’s got the papers to breed, the build to last, and the mind to do it all. Why Lou Lou is the real deal:
• 2021 AQHA dun roan mare, 15.1 hands, stout and correct
• Tacks up easy, ties all day, hauls and shoes with no fuss
• Safe and gentle for novice riders, correct and talented for pros
• Trail steady – traffic, wildlife, logs, water, bridges, tarps, flags
• Arena ready – started heading, soft, collected, smooth stop, easy back-up
• Ranch proven – branded calves, worked outside, built patience
• Pedigree: Driftwood foundation bone x Peptoboonsmal cow sense
They say you can’t have it all in one horse — looks, brains, breeding, and a gentle nature. Frosty Lou Lou would like to disagree.
