He was started there as a 3yr old and there hasn’t been a step missed in his training. With his training focussing on the reining, he has been taken to his first couple reining shows, first one being last year and another this spring. He handles the show environments like a seasoned pro and navigates the hustle and bustle of a busy warm up pen and high stress environment like he has done it a hundred times before. He is easy to ride, uncomplicated and so much fun. He rides level and consistently on a slack rein, lopes right off from a stand still, has a big stop, big turnaround, solid lead changes, and push button speed control. He also rides bridle less with ease, and will navigate all trail obstacles. Everyone in the barn enjoys riding this horse. And besides his arena training, Boon has seen countless hours out on the trails and down the road. He has also been on cattle and had a rope swung on him. He is always dependable, no matter how much time off he has. Boon could continue his career in the reining pen or would also be a great candidate for the ranch riding, ranch versatility, or for someone to take to the roping pen.
