Where do I even start with a gelding like this! He is a once in a lifetime horse that anyone would love to have! He is very special around here and we love him dearly!
Drift N Cruz is a beautiful 6 yr old GRULLA ROAN AQHA gelding! He stands 15 hands tall with all the bone and foot you could want, he stays barefoot and I couldn’t see him ever needing shoes with the big solid feet he has. Cruz is one of those hard to find geldings with all the personality and that will take care of you in any situation, he has that old soul and kind eye that everyone loves! He LOVES big and is always the first one to you on 100 acres or in the stall he will be waiting on you! With 5 months of reining training, he has correct turn arounds, sliding stops, side passes, opens and closes gates, picks up correct leads, and lopes slow easy circles. All of buttons are there if you ask for them, you can move his hip, ribs, or shoulders. Cruz is a pure joy to have around and is everyone’s first pick here, I can’t express how gentle he is! He has done just about everything you can imagine, working cows, dragging calves, barrels, roping the heel o matic on the head side, trail riding, English riding, and he has even starred in a TV show! He was the main attraction on the tv show All Roads Lead to Texas. He took care of Dylan Thuras, he had never rode a horse before. Cruz is patterned on the barrels but I wouldn’t call him finished. He will extend out under English tack, pop over some cross rails and enjoy packing around a little one in the short stirrup classes! Coulee would also make a great western dressage horse and has all the buttons to be competitive in the working equitation! He has a supple stop, collects on the bridle, side passes, spins, and more! He will ride in the arena or outside in the country crossing creeks, dragging logs, going through thickets, down the road, and bridle-less! He is good in a stall, or turned out with other horses, he gives you no problems whatsoever! Hauls like a champ in a stock trailer or a living quarters trailer. He is just a good solid gelding that will do anything that is asked of him. Cruz isn’t scared of much at all, we have really put him thru the test here, with our kids, dogs, cows, machinery, and lots of obstacles. We have a huge ball that we throw over him, at him, and under him. Cruz will also side pass over and pick you up off the mounting block no matter where he is standing, you just smooch at him and he will come to you. He also knows how to SIT down. He is so smart and learns so fast. Cruz loves the kids with all their petting and treats. He takes wormer, or any kind of medicine in the mouth by himself. You just hold it up next to his mouth and he will grab it. He leads, loads, stands tied, bathes, stands for the farrier, and saddles great. Cruz has one copy of pssm that does NOT affect him, he has ZERO symptoms! He stays on free choice alfalfa and is an EASY keeper. This gelding is one of the easiest and coolest ones around and we have really enjoyed our time with him. At just 6 years old Cruz has seen so much and done so much, I have no doubt he is going to go on and do big things for someone!
