Blue is a stout, gorgeous gelding that turns heads wherever he goes. He has real-world ranch experience and is just as enjoyable for everyday riding.
Blue is an 8-year-old gelding with the size, build, and presence people notice right away. He is strong, athletic, and put together in a way that makes him stand out whether in the arena, on the ranch, or on the trail.
He has been used in all aspects of ranch work and in the feedyard. He has gathered, sorted, and doctored cattle, been roped on outside, dragged calves, roped the hot heels, worked pony colts, and has been used in ranch rodeos. He is broke, handy, and stays useful for a day’s work while still being enjoyable to ride outside of that setting.
Blue is versatile and has been ridden by beginners and kids, including being shown at the county fair by our young daughters. He is still responsive and enjoyable for an experienced rider, with a kind mind and willing attitude without being dull.
He is easy to catch, loads, hauls, ties, bathes, clips, and stands well for the farrier. He is current on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and farrier care. He requires no maintenance, goes barefoot on the ranch, and is currently shod due to feedyard work. He does have a mild windpuff on the left hind that was evaluated with clean X-rays when purchased five years ago and has never affected his soundness or use, along with a small wire scar on the right hind. He is open to veterinary inspection and any pre-purchase exam at buyer’s expense.
