Scooby is stands 14 hnads the height everyone been looking for. She is absolutely one of a kind. Scooby has a beautiful thick mane and loves to stand for hours to be brushed on. Scooby loves to sleep and eat. She will catch a nap anytime she can. You can find her laying around in her stall or taking a nap out on the trail while you stop for a break. Scooby has the best ground manners, & gets along with other horses in the feild. She will be bottom of the pecking order. She a lover not a fighter. Not mare-ish at all.
Scooby is more of a push style horse, but will lope off from a stand still. She has a slow rocking chair lope, and will jog slow and soft. Scooby has a one hand neckrein, gets her leads, side passes, does turnarounds, works a gate and backs softly.
Scooby has had only one other owner besides myself. Her past owner spent weekends in the Shawnee National park and camping all over the country, riding alone and in large groups. She has seen all kinds of wildlife and spent many miles packing saddle bags in the fields and woods. She will cross big bodies of water, steep/slippery banks, cross logs, go through mud and is traffic safe. Scooby is sure footed and very careful where she places her feet, which you can see in her video. She is also hobble and picket line trained for overnight camping trips. She will ground tie for hours.
Scooby enjoys trail obstacles and is an absolute a blast to ride. She is great for any level rider young or old. Scooby also rides english. She is started on going over small jumps and seems to enjoy it. She stands for saddling, bathing and for the farrier. Currently Scooby is shod all the way around, but would be a great candidate for going barefoot.
She will kindly drop her head to make bridling easy. With just a snap of your finger, Scooby will side pass to a picnic table, truck bed, log, or trailer fender to make mounting easy.
