We are proud to offer “Piglet,” a stunning 14.3-hand, 9-year-old Gypsy gelding with a heart as big as his personality. This feather-footed gentleman identifies more as a puppy dog than a horse and is guaranteed to steal your heart—and every cookie you have in your pocket!
Piglet is the kind of horse you simply fall in love with. You love being around him, you love riding him, and you’ll love calling him your own. He’s the horse that makes neighbors stop and stare, causes passing cars to slow down for a second look, and sets the standard for what a truly exceptional horse should be.
Having ridden thousands of good horses throughout my life, I can confidently say Piglet is one of the very best. Owning and riding this gelding has been nothing short of a privilege.
Now, let’s talk about everything Piglet has to offer his future family.
Piglet is always the first one to meet you at the gate and will lower his head to gladly accept his halter. Under saddle, he walks, jogs, and lopes beautiful circles, consistently picks up the correct lead, and spins around like he’s had a career in the reining pen. He will lope off from a standstill, stop on a simple “whoa,” and makes every ride enjoyable.
Need to open a gate? No problem. Piglet will side-pass right over so you never have to step off. He’ll also side-pass to a mounting block, making getting on effortless for riders of all ages.
Piglet rides bridleless and doesn’t require anything more than a piece of old baling twine around his neck to head out for a ride. He will also lay down and sit on command with a simple tap of his leg, making mounting easier than ever.
As impressive as Piglet is in the arena, he shines just as brightly outside of it. I’ve gathered and sorted over 60 pairs on him, and he never made a mistake. At times, I wondered if he might be related to the legendary High Brow Cat himself.
On the trail, Piglet is as dependable as they come. He confidently crosses water, steps over logs, navigates rough terrain, and handles every obstacle with a willing attitude. He never asks “why”—he simply responds with “Yes, ma’am” and goes about his job with the kind, willing disposition everyone hopes to find.
Piglet has logged hundreds of miles through Cave Run Lake and the Kentucky forests. There isn’t a hill too steep or a creek too deep for him. He’ll get you where you want to go safely and comfortably every time.
He’s traffic-safe, beginner-friendly, and equally talented in harness. Piglet drives single or double, stands quietly to be hitched, and is suitable for drivers of all experience levels.
Piglet truly is a unicorn—minus the rainbow horn.
Whether you’re a beginner looking for the perfect partner or an experienced horseman searching for something special, Piglet is the kind of horse you’ll appreciate every day. He stands quietly for baths, saddling, veterinary care, and the farrier. In fact, he’ll often reach for the bit himself as if it’s an apple.
Veterinarians love him. Farriers love him. Everyone who meets Piglet seems to say the same thing: they love him.
Some horses leave a lasting impression, and some find a permanent place in your heart. Piglet is one of those rare horses. While we are incredibly proud to offer him, letting him go is bittersweet because he truly is one in a million.
For more information, questions, or to schedule a time to meet Piglet, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I could talk about him all day.
