Durango is a 6-year-old, 16-hand registered Morgan/Freisian gelding with an excellent start and a heart of gold. He’s been in the same family for the past two years, but due to the owner’s demanding work schedule, he hasn’t been ridden consistently. As a result, he’s still green—but incredibly kind, honest, and ready to go in the right hands. Think project type but kind. Durango walked right up our bridge and through the pool noodles without hesitation. Talk about willing!
Durango does leg yields, counter canter, shoulder-in/out, and lengthening. The main focus to the new buyer should be on a steady collection and straightness. He’s a forward-thinking type who wants to please and tries hard to get it right. He’s also shown natural talent in his first cross-country outing—happily tackling ditches, logs, banks, and water with no fuss.
While he still needs formal training—particularly in developing a steady connection—Durango has the brain, movement, and stamina to shine in Dressage, Eventing, or Combined Driving. He is not for a beginner, but would be an exciting project for an experienced or ambitious rider looking to bring a willing horse up the levels.
And yes—he also drives fantastic! This boy is versatile, fun, and full of potential. Durango just needs someone who has the time to invest in his future. He’s the kind of horse who will give back everything you put into him.

Durango est un hongre de 6 ans, mesurant 1,60 m, inscrit, issu d’un croisement Morgan et Frison, doté d’un excellent début de carrière et d’un cœur en or. Il appartient à la même famille depuis deux ans, mais en raison d’un emploi du temps très chargé de son propriétaire, il n’a pas été monté de façon régulière. Il reste donc encore vert, mais il est extrêmement gentil, honnête et prêt à s’investir entre de bonnes mains. Un peu un projet, mais un véritable cœur d’or. Durango a marché directement sur notre pont et à travers les tubes de piscine sans hésitation. Une vraie volonté de bien faire !

Durango pratique les jambes en dedans, le galop contre-temps, le shoulder-in/out, et l’allongement. L’objectif principal pour le futur acheteur doit être de travailler une collection régulière et une rectitude. C’est un cheval qui a un esprit volontaire, qui cherche à plaire et qui fait beaucoup d’efforts pour réussir. Il a également montré un talent naturel lors de sa première sortie en cross-country — abordant sans problème fossés, troncs, pentes et plans d’eau.

Bien qu’il ait encore besoin d’un entraînement formel, notamment pour développer une connexion régulière, Durango possède l’intelligence, le mouvement et l’endurance pour briller en dressage, en concours complet ou en attelage. Il n’est pas adapté à un cavalier débutant, mais représente un projet passionnant pour un cavalier expérimenté ou ambitieux, prêt à faire progresser un cheval volontaire dans ses niveaux.

Et oui — il se conduit aussi très bien en voiture ! Ce cheval est polyvalent, amusant et plein de potentiel. Durango a simplement besoin de quelqu’un qui ait le temps d’investir dans son avenir. C’est le genre de cheval qui rendra tout ce que vous lui donnerez.
