Christrose war selber bei Springprüfungen bis Klasse M erfolgreich und wird seit dem Jahr 2024 in der Zucht eingesetzt. Sie stammt aus der hervorragenden Zuchtlinie Stamm 162, welcher zu den starken, alten Mutterlinien in der Holsteiner Zucht gehört. In 2013 war dieser Stamm auf Platz 2 in der Weltrangliste der Mutterlinien von Sportpferden (nach Jac Remijnse). Der Stamm 162 stellte mit den Pferden Cöster, Carthago Z, Waterford Crystal und Canturo mehrere Olympiateilnehmer.
