Er wurde in rauen Bergen geritten und sah raues Land im Westen. Zusätzlich zur Rancharbeit wurde Berkley in mehreren Bundesstaaten geritten. Berkley ist einfach zu fangen, zu clipsen, zu baden, anzuheften, zu laden und zu handhaben. Er wird Plattfuß auf einem lockeren Zügel laufen und er kann weitermachen. Er hat einen natürlichen 4-Takt-Gang und wird für jeden Reiter geschmeidig gehen! Er wird auch Hals und Steigung wie ein Quarter Horse herumlaufen, also ist es das Beste aus beiden Welten! Er wurde um landwirtschaftliche Geräte, ATVs, über große laute Planen gefahren und hat auch Waffen von seinem Rücken geschossen. Egal wohin er geht oder was er tut, Berkley schauspielert nicht. Er wird selbst die steilsten Hänge hinauf oder hinuntergehen, über tiefe Bäche, über umgestürzte Bäume und über alle Arten von unwegsamem Gelände, während er immer noch trittsicher ist. Er wurde im Verkehr gefahren und ist sehr verkehrssicher in der Nähe von Autos, Sattelschleppern, Baumstämmen und Muldenkippern. Berkley has done some of everything… He has worked on a ranch, roped and doctored sick cattle. He has been ridden in rough mountains and seen rough country out in the west. In addition to ranch work, Berkley has been trail ridden throughout several states. Berkley is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. He will flatfoot walk on a loose rein and he can move on out. He has a natural 4 beat gait and will gait smoothly for any rider! He will also neckrein and lope around like a quarter horse so it’s the best of both worlds! He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, Berkley not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! Berkley has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do.
