Degenhardt is a very well-developed foal with plenty of spirit and presence. He is tall, with an impressive canter and overall very relaxed movement patterns. Full of type and charm, he possesses everything a future stallion candidate needs. His sire, Diarado, is an absolute top sire and leads the WBFSH Sire Rankings for eventing, so no further description is necessary. Exceptional genetics combined with charm and performance meet here in the lineage of the Alpine flower. His dam, Carlottina H, did not compete in sport due to an injury. However, with another top sire like Cornet Obolensky on the sire side, the genetic potential is present to further enrich the pedigree. Her dam, Vrida H by Viscount, descends from the mare Charmaine H, who carries two exceptional sires in her pedigree—Chacco Blue and Argentinus. This is also reflected in the performance of her full sister, Chatarina H, competing up to 1.60 m, as well as Collona H by Colestus and Mirjam by Mylord Carthago, both successful up to 1.40 m. Vrida herself has also achieved success up to 1.40 m under Rikke Heineking, once again demonstrating the strength of this performance lineage. This interesting sport pedigree is further complemented by the thoroughbred Intervall xx.
